Overview

The 2008 Mustang continues to take off from the initial redesign in 2005 when a major body restyling took place. This year’s novelty though is the rear-wheel drive performance.

Engine and Performance

The 2008 Mustang is available in both coupe and convertible versions. Both come in Deluxe and Premium trims. The Mustang comes with a basic warranty of 36 months or 36,000 miles, and a 60-month or 60,000-mile powertrain warranty. It is a high performance vehicle that does not let down on power, stability and dependability. While the 4.0-liter V-6 gives an output of 210 horsepower at 5300 rpm, the higher 4.6-liter V-8 gives a cool 300 horsepower at 5750 rpm. Add to it its towing capacity of up to 1000 pounds, and this is the kind of power that can be trusted to deliver, rain or shine.

Body and styling

Several standard interior features such as a tachometer, water temperature gauge, low fuel warning and tilt wheel-adjustable steering column enhance the inside. The exterior features body-colored moldings, black grille trim, and 17- and 18-inch painted and machine-alloyed wheels.

Safety features

All models come standard safety features. Four-wheel disc brakes and anti-lock braking system are ,frontal and side-impact air bags, driveline traction control, front seat pretensioners and panic alarm are some of the standard safety features.
