The full-size 2008 Ford F-350 super duty pickup truck is offered in different body styles and cab configurations: super cab, regular cab and crew cab. Most of the trims (XL, XLT, FX4 and Lariat) are available in two-wheel or four-wheel drive configurations. For 2008, the super duty has been redesigned with a huge grille that sits on its nose, while a new diesel engine under the hood. The King Ranch version is offered only on the crew cab and FX4 trim, but not on 2WD configurations.

A powerful and dynamic 5.4-liter, Triton SOCH, V-8 engine delivers 300 horsepower at 5000 rpm and 365 pound-feet of torque at 3750 rpm is standard on all trims.

A 6.4-liter, dual-stage turbo-charged engine with new power stroke diesel cranks out an impressive 350 horsepower at 3000 rpm and 650 pound-feet of torque at 2000 rpm is available on most trims. The 6.8-liter, V-10, SOHC engine generates 362 horsepower at 4750 rpm and 457 pound-feet of torque at 3250 rpm. These engines are optional across trims.

A six-speed manual transmission is standard, while a five-speed TorqShift automatic transmission is available as an option.

The 2008 Ford super duty has an imposing presence with its larger chrome grille, and solid body-colored bumpers flanked by huge headlights. For 2008, the F-350 pickups are available in a choice of five lengths with either a 6.75-foot or 8-foot cargo box. Regular cab models have two doors, while super cab pickups add rear half-doors. Crew cab models have four front-hinged doors. These pickups come with the option of rear-wheel drive, four-wheel drive, or single/dual rear wheels on each side. An optional step extends from the tailgate and can support up to 350 pounds to access the bed.

For increased hauling ability, dual-rear-wheel versions are available. When properly equipped, a dual-rear-wheel F-350 pickup can tow and haul an astounding 16,000 pounds. The F-350 is designed with a tow command system that has an integrated electric trailer-brake controller. A new FX4 package adds skid plates, body-color bumpers, and a billet-style grille on top of the XLT trim; it is available only on four-wheel-drive versions.

The interior of the F-350 is all new for 2008. Remarkable efforts have been made to infuse a tough look with a fresh new luxury design, including lavish amenities. Three people can easily fit into a regular cab pickup, while six can comfortably sit inside the super cab and crew cab models. To provide more comfort and convenience inside the F-350, the dash is now categorized into three smaller parts.

The safety of its passengers takes top priority with standard, top-notch safety features. Second-generation driver and passenger air bags, a passenger-side deactivation switch, a four-wheel disc anti-lock braking system, and child safety seats to tether anchors are just some of the standard safety features included.
